All applicable State and Federal laws relating to the ownership, storage, carry, and transportation of a firearm. Also emphasis which includes instruction on the appropriate and lawful interaction with law enforcement while transporting or carrying a concealed firearm. Instruction on prohibited areas and the parking lot exception. Covers new laws, review F.O.I.D. act, use of force, in defense of a person, dwelling, of other property, unlawful use of weapons. Must define dwelling, aggressor, forcible felony and unlawful use of weapons pursuant to the ILCS.
1 Hour Range
Covers handgun fundamentals, handgun concealment, live fire qualification with a concealable firearm consisting of minimum of 30 rounds. 10 rounds @ 10 yards, 10 rounds @ 7 yards, 10 rounds @ 5 yards.

Who is required to take the 3-hour Illinois CCL Renewal class?
Any current Illinois Concealed Carry License holder must complete a 3-hour renewal course before their license expires. This training is mandated by the Illinois State Police.
What does the 3-hour course include?
The course includes 2 hours of classroom instruction covering updated laws, FOID Act review, use of force, and lawful interaction with law enforcement. The remaining 1 hour takes place on the range and includes live-fire qualification with 30 rounds at 10, 7, and 5 yards.
How much does the course cost?
The course is $125.00, which includes the range fee if you bring your own firearm. If you use our firearm, there is an additional $10.00 maintenance fee.
Do I need to bring my own firearm?
You may bring your own concealable firearm for qualification. If not, you can use one of ours for a $10.00 maintenance fee.
What should I bring to class?
Bring a valid photo ID, your current Illinois CCL, FOID card, and your unloaded, cased firearm (if using your own). Ammunition should be transported separately per Illinois law. Wear closed-toe shoes and a high-neck shirt for safety.
What happens if I can’t pass the shooting qualification?
You won’t receive a certificate of completion or renewal qualification, but you may retake the range portion. Additional fees may apply for make-up sessions.
Where are the classes held?
All training is held at our facility in Niles, IL, located at 7609 N Milwaukee Ave. We are inside the Parkway Bank building with ample free parking.

Can I get a refund if I cancel?
Refunds are available only if cancellation is made within 45 days of payment and before the scheduled class. After that, payments may be applied as credit toward future courses. No refunds are given once the course has started.
Do I need a FOID card to take the course?
No, you do not need a FOID card to take the renewal course, but you do need one to apply for or renew your CCL with the Illinois State Police.
