Completing Your Illinois Concealed Carry Training

At Concealed Carry Safety for Personal Defense Inc, you can complete all of your required 16 hours of Illinois concealed carry training in just a few sessions. Your class will be split into two eight-hour days, four four-hour days or a combination of the two to meet your scheduling needs.

If you already have prior approved training, the amount of classroom time you’ll need will be reduced. For those who need to complete all 16 hours of training, your time will be split into 8 hours of classroom training and 8 hours of range training.

Illinois Concealed Carry Training Pricing

16 Hours: $179

  • State-required course

12 Hours: $149

  • Illinois State Police approved 4 hour prior training credit required to be eligible

8 Hours: $99

  • Illinois State Police approved 8 hours training or DD214 prior service required to be eligible

Illinois Concealed Carry Training Requirements

In order to partake in one of our training courses, you must meet the following guidelines:

  • 21 years or older
  • Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English
  • Have or be eligible to recieve an Illinois Firearm Owner's Identification (FOID) Card
  • Have an Illinois Driver's License or State ID
  • Be a current Illinois state resident
  • Not prohibited by State or Federal Law from having a firearm
  • Physically able to safely operate a firearm

Preparing For Your Class

Once you have met the above requirements, you are eligible to complete our Illinois Concealed Carry Training. On the day(s) of your course, you will need:

  • Your Driver's License or State ID
  • Your FOID card - if you are eligible to receive a card, but don't have one yet, we can help you complete the process
  • Resident Alien Card (if needed)
  • Prior Training Certificate Credits (if applicable)
  • Paper and pen/pencil for note taking
  • Our release form
  • Closed neck shirt, athletic shoes, belt able to hold a holster, baseball hat
