Basic Marksmanship Skills
THIS IS A SHOOTING COURSE !
This is a four (4) hour course. There are minimum and maximum class size requirements. This class builds on the skills and procedures learned in our Basic Firearms Familiarization and Safety course.
We will meet at Concealed Carry Safety for Personal Defense inc, 7609 N Milwaukee Avenue, Niles, Illinois for the classroom portion and then travel to the range for the live fire session.
This course begins with intensive instruction and demonstration of all safety rules and procedures to ensure all participants are able to feel comfortable to learn in a safe environment. It encompasses an enhanced understanding, demonstration and practice of basic marksmanship fundamentals as covered as part of the Illinois Concealed Carry License curriculum with additional skills that are not taught during the limited time of that course. This course expands the skills required in the License course and is of value to the individual who is a novice shooter who has not experienced any formal professional training with a handgun. This course will also prepare a relatively inexperienced and untrained shooter to easily exercise and demonstrate the basic skills mandatory during our Illinois Concealed Carry License 16 hour course and required live fire qualification.
Depending on class size and skill levels of the participants, this course may run a bit longer than the scheduled four hours. There is a live fire component to this course and this too, will depend on class size and skill levels as to the time needed to properly complete all the skills demonstrated and discussed in the classroom as they translate to the live fire range.
THIS COURSE DOES NOT RELIEVE THE PARTICIPANT OF THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE RELATED COMPONENTS OF THE ILLINOIS CONCEALED CARRY LICENSE 16 HOUR COURSE.
